Founded in 2021, we are Sligo's 1st Dragon Boat Club. Our members are Cancer Survivors & their Supporters. Our goal...to live well with, & beyond cancer, supporting each other through the team sport of Dragon Boating & have a good many laughs on the way!!

About Us
Our core membership have, either directly or indirectly been affected by cancer, but as a club, we are all inclusive, open to adult women & men. No experience is necessary. We just require a willingness to try & be open to a new adventure.
Join us for a social paddle, competitive training, regattas and other club activities & events.
Our club is affiliated to the Irish Dragon Boat Association.

Embracing Your Inner Dragon
Our core membership have a connection to cancer, either through their own lived experience as a survivor, a carer, working in the oncology field, or simply as supporters of the club. Cancer affects not only an individual but a family & community. It is very difficult to find your way after treatment. You have changed both physically and mentally. Learning to adapt to the 'new you' can be a struggle. This is where we come in. We support each other through engaging in a team sport, learning a new skill, making new friends, sharing stories, leaving our woes at the shore as we paddle on the water. Dragon Boating has brought new purpose to our lives. We are part of a growing network of Survivor Clubs in Ireland and internationally. Everyone is welcome. No experience necessary.
